This term is used in many books dating from different periods. The author, spent his whole life teaching hadith, shows that those who claim to be Ahl ul hadith have completely misrepresented the facts.
The author, Shaykh Habib ur Rahman A’zami Hew was born in U.P, India in 1319 A.H. He is the founder of many institutions like Madrassah Mirqatul Ulum, Jamia Miftah ul Ulum, and the Islamic Institute for Higher Studies. His teachers include Imam Anwar Shah Kashmiri, Mufti of Deoband Azeez ur Rahman etc. Among his students is Allama Manzoor Ahmad Nomani. Several scholars of the Arab World have also been given Ijaza from him. Among them are Shaikh Abul Fattah Abu Ghuddah, Shaikh Ismail al Ansari (Dar ul Ifta Riyad), Shaikh Hammad al-Ansar, Shaikh Sammari (Baghdad), Dr Abdul Sattar Abu Ghudda (Kuwait), and Dr Bashshar Awad Maruf (Baghdad). He passed away in 1413 A.H. He was an acknowledged authority on Tafsir, Hadees, and Fiqh.
